Anitta Uses Custom Made On Red Carpet From Met Gala 2022

Anitta wears a custom-made dress on the red carpet of the Met Gala 2022

Anitta was present at the Met Ball 2022, which took place yesterday (2) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York, United States, and drew attention as she crossed the red carpet. The Brazilian singer opted for a Moschino look and also walked the runway with Jeremy Scott, the brand's creative director.

The purple satin dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline was custom-made for Anitta and featured a sumptuous peplum waist, as well as pearl details. The artist completed the look with a pearl necklace and earring and, in her hair, a bun.

This is Anitta's second appearance at the Met Gala. Last year, she wore a model by Alexandre Birman, a Brazilian designer who, like Scott this year, also accompanied the singer on the red carpet.

Event theme

With past themes ranging from "The Catholic Imagination" to "Camp," yesterday's red carpet hark back to the history books, with a dress code that called for "Gilded Glamour." Honoring America's Golden Age, a time of post-Civil War economic growth that lasted from 1870 to 1900, the event is the second part of the theme “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”.

The first part, last year's "A Lexicon of Fashion," drew mixed reactions and approaches from attendees, with some finding inspiration in the Wild West (J.Lo), old Hollywood (Billie Eilish) or the very idea of patriotism (Amanda Gorman). But many chose to ignore the topic altogether – notably Kim Kardashian, who dabbled in an all-black Balenciaga.
